Par Sands Holiday Park, Nr St Austell
“One of the most desirable places to go for a great green
holiday in truly wonderful surroundings”
This was how conservationist David Bellamy described the Par
Sands Holiday Park near St Austell. The park has just won a golden
David Bellamy Award to go with the silver award it won in 1998.
The 23 acre park boasts a newly created wildlife reserve with
a freshwater lake and a bird sanctuary.
The CDA caravan is situated close to the sand dunes which border
the sandy Par beach. The beach is noted for its safe bathing conditions.
There is a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, crazy
golf and bowls. A short pathway leads to the village with a choice
of shops, pubs and restaurants. The south Cornwall coastal path
runs through the park and along the cliffs to either side with
the fishing cove of Polkerris nearby. The charming picturesque
villages of Mevagissey and Fowey and the historic port of Charlestown
are only a few miles away.
